The name is in honor of the NASA Ares 1-X space rocket. It is attached as Ares1.0.prg. I did that because some mailers have issues with the normal extension. Put in a dir and rename it to Ares1.0.exe and it should work fine.It is a UCI engine, but it doesn't support multiPV mode. It does support a minimal set of the Xboard protocol. Pondering works in UCI but not in Xboard. It does not have its own opening book.I've tested the UCI mode in Fritz GUI, Arena, SCID, Polyglot and Dasher. This is the 32 bit windows executable; the 64 bit version is faster and stronger by 2x and about 120 Elo. How strong is it? Stronger than NoonianChess by about 600 Elo is a rough estimate. A quick test would be to run the internal benchmark. Same as NoonianChess. Just type: Ares1.0.exe -bench -fd 11 If you want to compare NoonianChess performance to Ares, I would use -fd 9 as the test depth because NoonianChess doesn't search as deep as fast. Es ist eine UCI-engine, unterstützt aber kein MultiPV. Pondern funktioniert als UCI, aber nicht in Xboard. Es hat keine eigene Eröffnungsbibliothek. Die Engine wurde in der Fritz-, Arena und Scid Oberfläche sowie unter Polyglot und Dasher getestet. Es handelt sich um die 32-Bit windows Version, die 64bit version ist um den Faktor 2x und 120 ELO Punkte stärker. Wie stark ist die Engine? Hallo zusammen, Schöne Schach-WM. Zu Ehren der Schachweltmeisterschaft veröffentliche ich Ares1.004. Ich weiss, normalerweise veröffentliche ich in der Urlaubszeit. Sollte die Schachweltmeisterschaft nicht in der Urlaubszeit stattfinden ? Ares1.004 sollte zwischen 50 und 75 ELO stärker sein als die Version 1.003a.
